RECAP OF THE 2009-2010 SEASON

The Yuba Sutter Master Chorale Danced Into The 2009-2010 Season!
The Yuba Sutter Master Chorale's "The Joy of Christmas" was a truly wonderful celebration of the holidays and included a special treat in the form of dancers from Jacque's Dance Expressions.  These talented young people performed nine intrepretive dances to Lloyd Pfautsch's "A Day for Dancing".   Other holiday selections performed by the YSMC included "Seven Joys of Christmas" by Kirke Mechem, "The Flight to Egypt" by Max Bruch, and "The Shepherd and the King" by Eleanor Farjeon and Brian Holmes.   This year the YSMC added a second performance at First Presbyterian Church in Marysville in addition to their scheduled performance at St. Andrew Presbyterian in Yuba City.   The concert was a beautiful start to the holiday season and most definitely provided "The Joy of Christmas" for all who attended!

The Yuba Sutter Master Chorale's Spring 2010 Concert "Americana" held on Saturday, May 1, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, and Sunday, May 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, was a wonderful showcase of American music featuring pieces by Aaron Copland, Randall Thompson, Z. Randall Stroope, Jean Berger, and Samuel Barber, as well as again featuring the dancers from Jacque's Dance Expressions.  It was a beautifully patriotic tribute to America.
